Almond Croissant Scones

- 1 pkg XO Baking Biscuit & Scone Mix
- 8oz almond paste
- ½ cup almonds, sliced
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg + 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the scone mix according to the directions. At the end of mixing in the eggs, crumble up the almond paste in the mix and mix with a hand mixer.
- Place the dough on the cookie sheet and form a round disc approx 8” - 10” diameter. Slice into 8 pieces.
- Brush the top with the egg wash, sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes. Edges will be slightly golden brown, and the scones will be firm.
- Remove, cool completely, and dust the tops with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
