Chocolate Cherry Trifle

Ingredients
- 1 box XO Baking Co. Chocolate Cake Mix
- 21oz can cherry pie filling
- 8oz whipped cream topping
- 3.9oz box chocolate instant pudding
- 1 1/2 cups milk
Instructions
- Make the chocolate cake mix according to the package's directions. Bake and allow the cake to cool completely. Break the cake up into smaller pieces approx 1".
- Make the instant chocolate pudding with 1 1/2 cups of milk. Mix until thickened. If using dairy-free milk, use a thicker milk (not almond - almond won't thicken properly).
- This trifle can be made in individual parfaits or one large container for entertaining. You can do several layers by using a deeper bowl that's more narrow or use a 9x13 casserole dish and do 2 layers.
- Layer the cake, chocolate pudding, cherry pie filling, chocolate cake, and top with whipped cream.
